Rakuten: Hit or Miss

I love, love, love to spend money. So, of course when I discovered Rakuten it was essentially the most dangerous thing for me in the world, and it also causes me to make strange decisions that I later can't understand at all.

  • Like WHY I felt I needed to own all of the Weiss Side B manga years after my obsession with the series.
  • Or WHY I though I could ever walk in 7inch heels.

So here is my most recent Rakuten Hit AND Miss whilst searching for work-appropriate tops.

This one for me was a major Hit. I wore this today actually. It's super light and comfortable and the collar is knit. I worried the sparklies would make it seem too obaachan kei, but it is surprisingly alright.

The Miss for me was from the same store.

When it's laid out for me like this, it's an immediate No D8, but on the ad it looked really cute. Goes really well with that blanket, eh!

I might keep this in a trunk until some day I'm old enough to wear it. D:

Hm. And that is all.

Long Time No Macchiato

Sunday afternoon I found this piece of nostalgic pie in Amemura for a meager 300yen. That's right, a full album in completely untouched packaging straight out of 2000. I guess the whole reason I'm updating right now is because I want to sit back and enjoy it.

I was a little sick last week and I'm still kind of strung out. In addition to that, I'm waking up every night like a crazy person in the middle of the night and staring at things again so I'm always tired and kind of unable to concentrate.

The atmosphere is so nice here. All of those bikes make me think of Amsterdam. Amsterdam has nice atmosphere too, huh.

Katie and I had a nice time chilling here and pondering things like viskei/punk kid style from years ago and how to be more effective Draw Something artists.

Long time no iced caramel macchiato.

I finally caved and bought one of those flowery tanks I'm seeing everywhere to throw into my coordinates, as well as a beige cardigan and beige knit hat, and some other things. I will post pictures next time maybe.

Trying to climb my way slowly out of this gothic pit I live in. But it's really more like I'm on a slow moving elevator and every now and then I stop and have a very, very long coffee break in the bangya lounge. Haha

Slightly obsessed with these super cheap earings from WEGO LA.

Ok. I might have just fallen asleep staring at some q-tips. Good night!

Doing the Time Warp

This morning I woke up and cleaned my apartment! Or so I thought, until I was looking away from admiring my wonderful work, and I noticed that I had subconsciously just moved everything from the floor onto the couch again. I need to take a class on this or something.

Anyway, this past week I was looking through some old pictures and I came across some hilarious, fun, and embarrassing memories of the world that was my freshman year of university (2007~2008). I thought it would be fun to share.

Yeah, I was 19 and making obscene gestures in the mirror is just what you do at that age... I think. Maybe it was just anything to make that Van Gogh shower curtain look more badass.

At some magical point this ^ happened too, ahaha! In the hallway of my dorm, no less.

I made a birthday card for Kanon of An Cafe that year. The joke is from some joke about 300 years ago that Teruki used to make on his blog about Kanon being the Suica penguin. This card was ca. 流星ロケット /CHERRY咲くsomthing time, mind you.

Freshman dorm room! The mess of my home life was just beginning back then.

God, I was so cool, the pants were just dripping off of me. HUGH LAURIE, IS THAT YOU?!

Workspace for all my crazy fanficitions, angsty LJ posts, and the occasional homework assignment.

My much beloved and overused Sex Pot bag of yore. And I'm pissed because I lost that Black Moral bag in the post FOREVER. Not that I couldn't probably buy it again for 1500yen his afternoon, but still, it's the principle of the thing. D:

Pretending to be a hot guy again, probably. A struggle for me, since the hairdresser gave me a bowl-cut like a small Asian boy ca. 1990.

And before you ask, yes. Yes, I am almost certain this was my myspace photo for at least a year.

My, how we grow and change!

...right?
