Graduation, Living Situation, and Gone on Vacation (Image Heavy)

hey hey hey

First things first...

Somebody graduated! And I'll give you a hint: she looks just like me!

I really thought the experience would be more gratifying, but afterwards I just spent the evening alone buzzing on watermelon vodka, watching Cheers and packing up my room. I guess I'm kind of sad to leave Athens after all. It's been like my real American home more so than the actual town I'm from. I feel very comfortable there, and that's where I met all of my friends--and it's still the meeting point, it seems, even though everyone's moved out. :(

And my room. I took some last shots of it's glory (and cleaned it for the purpose) before disassembling it all Friday night. I thought I would post them here, since I really love when people post pictures of their living spaces.

Last out of a total 3 times I ever made that bed, probably.

I wear a lot of black.

See that bottle of Tequila there. And those damn almonds.

My workspace. That postcard of William and Harry was a lulzy gift from Kelly's trip to London.
I just felt that should be clarified.

I'm sad to see it go, since it was all to my liking. And now the house is... a wreck.

....

I did take time out of my frantic packing mess to draw and paint my mum a late card for Mother's Day.

If you note the shoulder kitty, you'll see that I clearly play too much Poupee Girl.

After moving, however, my attentions turned to packing for my trip to London, Paris and Amsterdam. I leave tomorrow morning at 11, and wait it out at the airport until our 5:30 flight to London. The flight's supposed to last 8 hours, even though I swear I remember it being less before, so I'm bringing a sudoku book (once I get started I can't unhinge myself), and my DS to start playing this much neglected beauty:

In the process of packing, I dug up some old money, too. Don't you just get excited about spending leftover currency? 8D

It's nothing in pounds, but it's like $5 here, haha.

My packing checklist.

I also took a bit of time to gussy up an old Estee Lauder make up bag with some dollar bin bling from the craft store.

Not big enough for my make-up, but perfect for my toiletries.

It's a bit simple, but it's enough for now. Unfortunately the Amazing Goop glue I was going use to requires extra time to dry, so all of my stones will undoubtedly fall off throughout the trip and need to be fixed.

My suitcase is not even near full, either, so I have plenty of room for any cheap things I may pick up along the way (strict budget abiding).

One thing I absolutely can't forget, too, is Suzuki-san. He's a staple in my traveling arsenal and a very important person in my life. Perhaps you've seen him before?

Yep. He's a real dream boat.

But I'll be going now. I need to carefully select a sketchbook and arrange my carry-on. But as I won't be bringing my lap-top, good bye 'til June!

Oh yeah. And look at these sexy balloons:

Oh. Hey again.

hey.

I just made a post about not posting. So the next day of course, I make a post! Yet another epic display of my powerful skill of follow-through.

Today Kelly came to town and we partied like it was 1999. Or maybe 1989. I don't know. We had philly cheese steak subs at Larry's (where I've been dying to go for weeks now) and sewed like a couple of old biddies while watching the best movie ever.

(Shitty quality photos are from my phone.) I love this movie beyond all explanation. It's just fascinating to me. My desktop bg has actually been a really awesome image of Treasure Town ever since I got this computer almost two years ago.

While downtown, however, we popped into one local shop where this little treasure was hanging unassumingly amongst a bunch of necklaces beneath a table...

I have been looking for a long-chain bird cage necklace for aaaaages now, and suddenly there it was. Perfect and only about $12! There's a tiny bird in there, too, though it's hard to see. The last time I saw one that fit my  "criteria" was in Wonder Rocket in Harajuku over a year ago, and even then it was over 3000yen. I am in love with this necklace.

And I still have yet to even start on my essay, but I somehow can't make myself worry over it. Tonights mission: Clean my filthy room and take down these damn candy canes from Christmas!

That's right, bitches. Your time is up! (`=´)/

And while we're on the topic-- who the hell ever thought these were a good idea?

Exams Make Me So Lazy

I have just one paper left, but it's going to be a real kick in the balls. I will be back when my hypothetical testicles have healed. <3

HOT THINGS

How's it hangin'? I was going to take pictures of my coordinates for the rest of last week, but that plan fell apart when Katie came to town and we were goofing off with our poupees until I was almost late for class. Needless to say, I left looking like a ballerina caveman. And I wish I were kidding about that.

If you've never seen a ballerina caveman, here's some visual aid:

And before you say anything, I know what you're thinking: That is clearly a disheveled Chinese aristocrat in a tutu with a dead bear! And you would be right.

However, I did manage to get a quick picture for Thursday...

Shirt: Sexy Dynamite London
Skirt: Bye Bye
Tights: Doll Kiss
Shoes: Cocue

And you can't tell, but I wore my Dolly Wink lashes to class that day, since I haven't before (because school people stare if you wear anything fancier than running shorts). I love them! They're so flexible and comfortable, and not heavy at all. I didn't even feel like I was wearing them.

The skirt is from a Bye Bye/One Way shop in Kawasaki's Lazona, that was on the sale rack for super cheap. It's my favorite skirt. I wish I could wear it more here without people asking "What are you all dressed up for?" It's super cute around the hem:

STEAMY. :D

And while I'm thinking of HOT THINGS, like my ByeBye skirt, and ancient Chinese nobility: There's a Summer Gal Give-Away going on @ Utsukushii Gal. It's cute and I only found her blog recently, but I'm really enjoying it.

I've realized lately, I've only been following maybe the same four blogs closely for a while, and it's really time to branch out.

But yes, this week of finals, then I can finally get on with my life. Until next time, I leave you with this ambiguous picture:
